Illustrator Nadezda Glazunova began her artistic career in her native Russia by painting in a communist souvenir factory. Her obvious talent won her admission to the National College of Traditional and Folk Art.  Working with author Alvin Alexsi Currier, she illustrated her first book, The Miraculous Child, which was published in German and English in Vienna in 1995.
